What?? You Can Stay In One Of The Famous Mykonos Windmills?
Yes, you can! We did it through Airbnb, although there are probably different ways to book them. Here is a little about our experience.

While researching lodging in Greece I realized that a couple of the iconic Mykonos windmills are Airbnb rentals. It’s a bit pricey, so we just stayed 2 nights and friends joined us.
Even though they are 16th century windmills, the inside is modern and comfortable.
The one we stayed in, called Meltemi, has 2 bedrooms with king size beds and en-suite bathrooms each, a living room, and a well-equipped kitchen. One bedroom is one floor up, and the other bedroom is above that.
Of course you have to keep in mind that day and night there are other tourists coming by the windmills to photograph them. They are, after all, the most photographed attraction on Mykonos.
But with walls 2 feet thick and tiny shuttered windows, it is very quiet inside the windmill.
My favorite thing was stepping outside in the morning and sipping my coffee while looking out over the water and Little Venice. Also, it is right in the heart of the main touristy area of Mykonos. It’s just steps away from the restaurants and shops in the winding white pedestrian streets of town.
To find it on Airbnb, select Mykonos and then select the windmill icon. Or just google Meltemi Windmill Mykonos.
We were not paid to advertise this. This is just my own opinion on this place.
