A Unique Treehouse Type Stay in Wimberley, Texas

This place is called Onera Wimberley, and they have several types of cabins including these almost-treehouses that are barrel-shaped and each have a hot tub. It was such a romantic place to stay, but unfortunately my husband, Mark, felt so sick right when we were there! He had a bad cold and just lay on the bed sleeping almost the entire time.

As you can see I still took full advantage of the hot tub and the sunset views.

A couple things to note, since I like to give the full scoop:

1) There is no TV (which we knew and we’re fine with). Just be aware you’re going to need to make conversation or play board or card games.

2) The cabins are not that far from each other, and the romantic setting with the hot tub encourages, well, let’s say “romance”. So please be discreet.

3) There is a mini-kitchen and a modern bathroom with a large shower.

4) The property also has a pool, but since it was February we didn’t go to it.

This would be a great getaway for a special occasion. I would definitely come back again.
