Mykonos – The Best View and Experience

📍180° Sunset Bar, Mykonos

In Mykonos, where watching the sunset is a kind of religion, everyone flocks to the best spots to watch this magical daily occurrence.

In our opinion the best place to experience it is at the top of the hill at the 180 Sunset Bar (and restaurant!).

It’s expensive, but even my husband Mark said this was worth the money. That’s saying something, as he likes to ruin a perfect dinner/excursion/event by saying it wasn’t worth the price.

Here’s what we loved about it:
☀️It has the best view looking down on Mykonos
☀️There is a windmill on the premises
☀️They play a beautiful song (ugh I can’t remember the name) that ends JUST as the sun dips behind a neighboring island. The timing matched so well that a few people clapped, and one young lady said “yay, sun”. 😂
☀️They give you blankets in shoulder season in case you feel chilly after the sun goes down.
☀️There are lots of food choices, and they were delicious!
☀️There is a wide range of seating to accommodate various budget levels.
☀️They don’t rush you – you have the table for the evening.

What you need to know:
➡️Minimum spend ranges from €30/person for seating at the bar to €200/person for front row seating, which several price points in between. We had a great front row spot for €100/person. For that amount we had a seafood crostini platter, another appetizer, ouzo shots, water, and 3 drinks between the 2 of us.
➡️There is also a private deck for larger parties/events.
➡️On their website you can see. 360° view of all the seating areas.
➡️Make a reservation online ahead of time!
➡️At sunset you can’t just walk over to another area for a photo. ➡️In the summer there is dancing and a party atmosphere after sunset. In the shoulder months it’s much more subdued, and closes at 9:30pm.
➡️There is a large parking area for cars, motorcycles, etc.
➡️If you’re walking, it’s a steep climb uphill.
