Moab – Thelma and Louise Film Location

At the end of the movie Thelma and Louise decide to “keep going” and drive off the cliff into Grand Canyon.

This scene was actually filmed close to Dead Horse Point State Park on

⚠️ To get to the exact spot it’s best if you do a 4×4 tour because there are some private roads, and rough muddy paths that need high clearance vehicles. We did a half-day tour with NAVTECH Expeditions. This tour also took us up the winding Shafer Trail, and saw ancient hieroglyphics, pictured below. We wouldn’t have seen these areas had we not gone with this 4×4 expedition.
