Moab – Hell’s Revenge You-Drive 4×4 UTV

Hands down the most exhilarating experience we had in Utah, even on our whole 6-month trip out west, was driving 4×4 UTVs in Moab. They took us to an area called Slickrock Trail, and with it is Hell’s Revenge. There were several UTVs in a row, and we all followed a guide. It was fun being able to do the driving ourselves, yet be able to follow someone experienced on these trails. The inclines and descents were SO steep, I would never think it would be possible to drive up and down them. But these very grippy vehicles had no problem at all.
To give you an idea how scary it is, we got a call a couple days before making sure we wanted to do this, because some people chicken out. We were scared BEFORE doing it. But once we saw how well-suited the UTVs were for the task we were no longer afraid. It was just exhilarating!
This adrenaline-pumping trail offers a heart-pounding experience for off-road enthusiasts, featuring steep climbs, narrow ledges, tricky descents, and obstacles like the infamous Hell’s Gate and the Tip-Over Challenge (which wasn’t part of our own tour).
We had breathtaking views of the La Sal Mountains, the Colorado River below, and the sandstone cliffs of Echo Canyon. And we even stopped to look at some dinosaur tracks. So cool!
It took about 3 hours, and they brought water and snacks. We met in downtown Moab, and then drove the 4x4s from there.
