🗣️🇮🇹If you don’t already speak some Italian at least learn a few phrases so that you can show you made an effort. Since you are a guest in Italy they like to see that you’re not assuming everyone speaks English.
💰Although credit cards work well for most situations, some stores have minimums for using a cc, and also there is a fee for public restrooms.
🧻I’ve come across several restrooms where the stall I happened to choose didn’t have toilet paper… so better safe than sorry.
⛪️Even if you’re not religious you’re going to want to check out the cathedrals for their architectural beauty and historical significance. But many of them have a requirement to cover up your shoulders and legs down to your knees. To be honest I haven’t seen this enforced, but I saw the signs and didn’t want to disrespect. So if possible bring a scarf you can tie over shorts or over your shoulders.
☕️If Lattes are your caffeine of choice, remember that “latte” just means milk. So put the word “caffe” in front of it and you’re good to go! That way you won’t end up with a glass of milk.
🇮🇹🧳Happy Travels to Italy!
