I have to admit, while in Istanbul, Türkiye, I signed us up to see a Whirling Dervish show without understanding what it’s all about. Well, the first indication that it was not a folkloric dance show, and not a content-creating opportunity, was that no photography at all was allowed. My first thought was “oh, darn”….
